Porch design - This ranch style home comes alive with the design of this brick paver porch that is constructed over a pre-existing typically boring cement slab style porch. (Washington Township, Michigan)

Brick paving design - This home possesses a unique feature at the front entrance which inspired the brick paver porch and step design. This porch is inset via arced walls on either side as opposed to flat walls with 90 degree returns. The outer sides of the porch on the right and left play off of the homes arced walls by incorporating a reverse radius, thereby adding to the uniqueness of the design. (Macomb County, Mi.)

Exterior home color schemes. The overall color of the paver and wallstone employeed was deliberately chosen to match the house brick with darker tones that approach the hue of the roof. From a distance(see photo 130-1), the eye is thereby funneled to the lighter area in between which so happens to be the main focal point of the house,...the front entrance. (Washington Twp, Mi)
